View Larger Image   Antique Ice Tongs Carrier Large Gifford-Wood   Description: This is a large ice block carrier, clearly marked by the maker "GIFFORD-WOOD Co.", a company that had been Gifford Bros. until 1905 when Gifford merged with W.T. WOOD & CO. of Arlington Mass around 1905. These tongs are in very good condition, about 99% of the black paint intact, very little wear if any, appear to have never been used. The two pointed ends are still sharp, very clean, no rust.
