“Hallahan’s Head!” follows J.V. Fletcher after he arranges the murder of his business partner Hallahan, only to find himself pursued by Hallahan’s severed head.
CONDITION:
Low-grade original copy that remains attached and presents well considering its age.
The cover displays considerable wear including edge and corner wear, creasing, spine stress, small tears, discoloration and general handling wear. There is visible wear and paper loss around portions of the perimeter.
Interior pages remain quite presentable with strong color and readable artwork. Pages show expected tanning and age-related wear consistent with a comic published in the early 1950s.
Front and back covers are present. Book remains attached rather than being a loose-page example like many heavily worn Golden Age books.
An excellent affordable example of an increasingly collectible pre-Code horror issue with a fantastic Ken Bald severed-head cover.
