The surveyor is shown full-length in formal dress, standing beside a substantial precision surveying instrument mounted on a wooden tripod, with his notebook open as though recording measurements. The equipment case and accessories beside him add excellent occupational and technical interest.Condition is amazing for its age. The photograph remains remarkably clean, sharp, and well preserved, with strong image detail, excellent contrast, and only very minor age-related wear to the mount. The reverse photographer’s imprint is also unusually clear and attractive.
