Vintage Papua New Guinea Highlands Koteka (Penis Gourd)
Handcrafted natural gourd purchased by my father in Guam during the mid-to-late 1990s.
Traditional Papua New Guinea Highlands koteka-style gourd featuring a distinctive curved shape, woven fiber collar, and hanging cord. A paper identification sheet that accompanied the item identifies it as a \"Papua New Guinea Highlands Penis Gourd.\"
Measures approximately 10⅜\" long with a 1 5/8\" opening.
Condition:
• Natural dried gourd construction
• Woven fiber collar intact
• Hanging cord present
• Attractive curved form with natural finish
• Minor age spots, surface marks, and natural imperfections consistent with age and natural materials
