Charming vintage PJ’s Carousel Collection “Angel” carousel horse, a PJ Original design made in Newbern, Virginia.This elaborate fantasy-themed horse features a cream-colored body decorated with a dimensional winged fairy/angel, butterflies, flowers and flowing pink ribbons, with lavender and pastel accents. The reverse is comparatively undecorated and bears the molded PJ’s © mark along with the artist’s M.G. Phelps signature.Mounted on its original finished wood display base with brass-tone spiral carousel pole and ring finial. Original plaque reads:Measures approximately 11” high × 9” long × 3” wide.Very good vintage display condition with normal minor surface and paint wear/irregularities from age and hand finishing.
