Vintage Signed Kayser Enamel on Copper Fish Dish – Made in HollandMid-century Dutch enamel-on-copper decorative dish featuring two stylized fish swimming through an abstract underwater scene.The hand-decorated surface combines turquoise, pink, lavender, black, red, yellow and green enamels with fine exposed copper-colored linework. The abstract background and whimsical fish give the piece a particularly strong Mid-Century Modern look.The dish is signed “Kayser” within the decoration and stamped “MADE IN HOLLAND” on the exposed copper reverse.Kayser is documented as an enamel painter associated with the Dutch decorative arts firm Sagitta during the mid-20th century. Historical information about Sagitta identifies a Mr. Kayser as an important figure in the firm\'s painted enamel work. Because this individual piece bears the Kayser signature and Holland mark but no visible Sagitta mark, it is being offered as a signed Kayser Dutch enamel work rather than definitively manufacturer-marked Sagitta.Approximate measurement:

Good vintage condition with age-related wear. The enameled surface has fine scratches and scattered pitting/surface irregularities, most apparent in the dark enamel near the perimeter, as well as some rim wear. The exposed copper reverse shows oxidation, discoloration and scratches from age and use.
