Vintage pocket knife features smooth, polished genuine bone handle scales displaying rich, natural creamy-honey coloration tones throughout. Built on a traditional slipjoint trapper frame template, this distinct design showcases a unique "One Arm Razor" pattern master blade alongside a secondary pen blade. The master blade is stylized with a prominent notched thumb hook notch on the tip, a specialized historical configuration engineered to allow the user to easily catch the blade on a trouser pocket or belt to open the knife safely with only one hand.
The Jim Frost Cutlery Company imported and distributed this handmade configuration during the late 20th century. Frost Cutlery, founded in 1978 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, introduced highly varied collector patterns to the broader American enthusiast market. This piece represents an early variant of their outdoor wildlife series, heavily favored for its practical, dual-blade novelty utility profile and classic smooth bone hardware.
This pocket knife is in very good vintage condition. The mirror-polished surgical stainless steel razor blade face is crisply etched One Arm Razor inside an ornate banner ribbon, while the tang is clearly stamped Frost Cutlery alongside their iconic flying eagle insignia. Both blades are nearly flawless, presenting clean factory surfaces, bright finishes, full profiles, and zero signs of heavy sharpening wear or aftermarket grinding. The thick brass liners, steel pins, and hefty polished nickel silver bolsters are securely aligned and structurally sound. Antique or vintage does knife have plenty of backspring snap, and as you can see, the blades are nearly flawless. This is a very nice knife. Excellent condition. Both backsprings possess excellent mechanical tension, delivering a firm walking action and a strong, loud snap on opening and closing with tight lock-up. Please see the pictures next to the measuring device for the approximate length of the item.
