Attractive early Frost Cutlery Japan Bullet Mini Trapper from the post-Jim Parker era, featuring the iconic bullet shield that makes this pattern instantly recognizable. This handsome vintage folding knife combines traditional trapper styling with beautiful red jigged bone scales displaying natural color variation and character.
Measuring approximately 3” closed, the knife features a 2 3/8” clip-point trapper blade and matching Spey blade. Both blades exhibit slight liner rub that does not affect function. The knife has excellent overall action, with great snap on the Spey blade, which displays very minimal side to side play barely worth mentioning but includes for accuracy, and lighter snap on the clip blade.
Condition: Beautiful near-pristine vintage example with excellent presentation and above-average overall condition for its age. The red jigged bone handles are particularly attractive, with appealing natural variation in color and a classic traditional appearance. Both blades retain a clean, well-presented appearance, with only the noted liner rub and difference in blade snap to mention.
An excellent example of an early Frost Cutlery Japan Bullet Mini Trapper, combining the iconic bullet shield, attractive red jigged bone, and traditional two-blade configuration. A desirable addition to a Frost Cutlery collection or a collection of vintage Japanese-made traditional pocketknives.
