RARE vintage (70 years old!) Norcrest Blue Cats Salt & Pepper Shakers are a charming set of anthropomorphic shakers, perfect for adding to your vintage salt & pepper collection.
Made of ceramic and porcelain, these small shakers feature a unique design in blue color, with flowers and bows, typical of the mid-century Norcrest franchise.
The set includes two shakers, with their original stoppers, with each featuring a different cat character, adding a whimsical touch to your kitchen decor. Made in Japan during the 1950s, these original shakers are a collectible item that will surely delight any cat lover or collector of unique, vintage salt & pepper shakers.

Both are structurally solid, without chips, (70 years old!), Norcrest shakers. The cat with it\'s eyes closed has \"shading\" (I don\'t know what else to call it) around the bottom from the manufacturing process. There is crazing on the cat shaker with the open eyes and there is a shallow crack or deep crazing along the front leg with a rough spot. They both have their stoppers but when I attempted to remove the stopper on the eyes open cat to dump out the salt, a piece broke off, the piece will be included in case you would like to fix it.
These will be shipped with added insurance. No returns on this particular item. I am not an expert and I disclose and take lots of pictures of any defects or issues I see so you can make an informed decision on purchasing, (which I appreciate greatly).
