VINTAGE 12 VOLT BATTERY CHARGER HARDWARE / AUTO PARTS STORE COUNTER DISPLAY SIGN
This counter display is from 1963 and advertises a FEDTRO, Inc. 12 volt electric battery charger. The display has an actual working display model attached to it that STILL WORKS.
As you can see in the photos, both the sign and the charger are in beautiful condition. The double sided sign has bright, vibrant colors and still has almost all of its original gloss finish. It even has the original \"Daw\'s\" (a chain of drug stores in upstate New York) price sticker on it pricing the charger at $3.19 (approximately $35.13 now). This must have been displayed in the hardware section of their store.
The sign has a fold in the middle of it. It was made to be folded in half (probably for shipping), it\'s not something that someone did.
The charger itself is metal, and does have a little bit of surface rust on it, but it\'s still extremely displayable. The power cord is in great shape; it doesn\'t have any scuffs, cuts or breaks, is clean, still has it\'s flexibility, and even has the original Underwriters Laboratories tag attached to it. This charger was made in Japan. The small print on the sign states \"U. S. engineered and produced in Japan.\"
The charging clamps and their wiring are in almost new condition.
The sign measures 7\" wide x 11\" tall. The charger measures 4\" wide (5\" including the base) x 1 3/4\" tall x 2\" deep.
This piece would look awesome in any man cave, garage or workshop!
