Pre-War Antique Gablonz Glass Bead Spider Web Ornament Wax Leaf Halloween Czech
An exquisite 1920s–1930s pre-war Bohemian glass bead ornament from the Gablonz region (Jablonec nad Nisou). Features a hand-assembled spider web made of blown glass bugle beads and silvered mercury beads, complete with a detailed glass-bead spider perched in the center. The web is mounted on its original waxed, autumn-colored pressed fabric leaf backing with a wired stem hanger.
Dimensions: Leaf measures approximately 4\" across; web measures ~2.5\" wide.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition for a piece of this fragility and age. Glass beads retain great luster with minor age-appropriate mercury silvering oxidation. Leaf structure is intact with light wear to edges and wiring typical for early paper/wax novelties.
