For your consideration is an incredibly rare, authentic 1930s pre-war Steiff Mickey Mouse plush doll, measuring approximately 6.5 inches (16 cm) tall.
Manufactured in Germany under an early license from Walt Disney, this iconic piece of toy history is highly sought after by Disneyana and antique Steiff collectors alike.
This doll features the classic 1930s design, including a velveteen/soft-cloth body, distinctive felt ears, early pie-cut stylized hands, wire-lined poseable legs, and his original black velvet top and tan/orange-tinted shorts with two white face buttons securely attached on the front and back.
This 90+ year-old doll has a truly wonderful vintage look and holds its shape beautifully.

The Good: The body is structurally sound, with solid seams and no major tears or open stitching. The fabric retains nice color depth for its age.
As is incredibly common for well-loved toys of this era, this piece is missing the metal Steiff button-in-ear. He has some whiskers but some may be missing. I’m not sure if it had a tail originally?
There is minor, standard surface dust, aging, and light thinning to the velveteen fabric, particularly around the elongated muzzle and face, consistent with a genuine 1930s antique.
