Rare Authentic Antique Photo
Estate sale find in Southern California
You can see the Hookers studio stamp mark on the Back(very Few have survived as you know everything was burnt down in 1921) RARE
Most surviving photographs of the Tulsa Race Massacre era were actually shot and distributed by white onlookers as grim "souvenirs" of the destruction. Out of more than 500 cataloged historical images from that era, only a tiny handful are attributed to a Black photographer.
Because your card is a beautiful, positive portrait of a Black couple taken by a prominent Black Greenwood business owner before his entire life's work was burned down, it represents the absolute apex of rarity for Oklahoma historical ephemera.
I will ship with extra caution/Care and Extra bubble/Double Boxed for safety through transit-Thank you
