Original 1939-42 Chevrolet Order of Marching Chevroliers Grille Badge Award
Scarce original Chevrolet “Order of Marching Chevroliers” radiator or grille badge, generally identified as a Chevrolet sales-achievement award dating from approximately 1939–1942.
The badge features a dimensional silver-tone Chevrolier or musketeer resting against his sword over a red circular field reading:
“ORDER OF
MARCHING CHEVROLIERS”
The center is surrounded by a large gold-tone starburst. This example remains attached to its original folding blue presentation mount. Two threaded mounting posts with slotted fasteners are visible on the back, allowing the badge to be removed from the presentation board and installed on the grille or radiator area of a period Chevrolet automobile.
Although the exact requirements for receiving the award are not completely documented, surviving examples are generally associated with Chevrolet dealership salesmen who reached certain sales goals during the late 1930s or early 1940s.
ESTATE-FIND PROVENANCE:
This badge was discovered inside an antique wardrobe steamer trunk containing clothing and personal effects dating primarily from the 1920s and 1930s. The badge, mounting hardware, and folding blue presentation board were found together exactly as shown.
The trunk retains original travel-label remnants and newspaper drawer liners dated Thursday, August 31, 1933, with another page advertising the September 3, 1933, 100th-anniversary edition of The Sun. These dated materials document that the trunk itself was in use during the 1930s.
Finding this badge within that intact period collection provides exceptionally strong supporting provenance for its age and originality. Combined with its construction, design, original mounting hardware, natural aging, and documented period storage context, we are confident that this is an authentic original Chevrolet “Order of Marching Chevroliers” badge and not a modern reproduction.

CONDITION:
Excellent preowned vintage condition for its age with light surface wear, small scratches, marks, tarnish, discoloration, oxidation, and minor finish wear from age and storage. The red, gold, and silver-tone finishes remain attractive, and the dimensional figure displays exceptionally well.
The original blue folding presentation mount has dust, surface marks, edge wear, creasing, and other signs of age and storage. Both threaded mounting posts and slotted fasteners are present as shown. The badge has not been removed from the presentation board.
