Original 1875-1880 US Internal Revenue Liquor Dealer Tax Stamp Document Lot of 6 For Sale

Original lot of six authentic U.S. Internal Revenue Special Tax Stamp documents issued between 1875 and 1880 during the Reconstruction era. These large-format federal revenue documents were issued to licensed businesses and feature beautiful engraved artwork, period typography, embossed Treasury seals, original serial numbers, handwritten entries, and attached monthly coupon stubs.

Each document measures approximately 14.5” x 7”.

• The 1878, 1879, and 1880 documents display the original “USIR” security paper watermark when held to light (see antique condition with expected age-related wear. The documents exhibit folds, toning, edge wear, scattered staining, punch cancellations, and small tears consistent with their intended use and age. Several documents have edge chips or paper loss, most notably the 1879 Retail Liquor Dealer example.
