A Musashi tsuba over a warm brown lacquered saya gives this katana a classic, understated presence, with black cotton ito over genuine rayskin. The blade is hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel, heat tempered, with a hi on each side. It arrives sharp, with a full tang pinned by two mekugi pegs, and comes fully apart for care — made for regular handling as well as display.

Why Collectors Choose This Sword

• Full tang, fully disassemblable. The tang runs the full length of the handle and is secured with two mekugi pegs, so the katana can be taken apart for cleaning and reassembled.
• Musashi tsuba. A Musashi guard — the centerpiece of this katana.
• Brown lacquered saya. Care and Use

Suited to light cutting practice such as rolled tatami omote, soft mats and water-filled bottles, where permitted by local law. Not intended for hard targets such as metal, stone or seasoned hardwood. The blade can rust if left wet: wipe it dry after handling and apply a light coat of sword oil before storing.
