Up for sale is a scarce, original historical artifact with condition issues noted: the 1931 edition of the L.I.F.E. Bible College Yearbook (Lighthouse of International Foursquare Evangelism) out of Los Angeles, California. While this copy has heavy structural wear, it remains a valuable, intact research text or source of frameable vintage pages from the peak era of the Foursquare movement
Founded in 1923 by trailblazing media evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson ("Sister Aimee"), L.I.F.E. Bible College operated hand-in-hand with the famous Angelus Temple in Echo Park. 1931 was a monumental, highly publicized year for Sister Aimee and her family. This book features early photography of the campus, administration, and students, with Sister Aimee featured prominently in the opening pages as Founder and President.
This book has survived nearly a century but shows heavy, visible wear. It is being sold As-Is for research, historical reference, or page harvesting. Please note the following flaws:
Binding / Hinges: The front and back inner hinges are broken. The cover is loosely attached/separating from the inner page block and will require careful handling or rebinding.
Cover & Edges: Heavy, visible corner bumping, edge fraying, and rubbing to the exterior boards.
Interior Pages: Naturally yellowed/tanned from age. There is evidence of historic water exposure causing wrinkling to some pages.Odor Free: Crucially, there is absolutely NO mold and NO mildew/musty smell. The pages are dry and stable.
Markings: Excellent clean interior text block—there is no student writing, annotations, or names written inside the book.
