Description Joichi Hoshi – [Snoria] – Decorative Plate – Authenticity Guaranteed
These plates were created by the artist while he was living in Koenji (Tokyo) and commuting to Tokamachi Gosei Co., Ltd. in Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture. The process involved placing synthetic resin powder into a molding machine, applying a multi-colored design, and using a 100-ton press at temperatures between 150°C and 190°C. The finished pieces were originally exhibited and sold at Wako in Ginza; the plate measures 12.6 inches in diameter.
As each piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike; gold leaf was also incorporated during the molding process.
Very few of these remain today, making them extremely rare collector\'s items. A plate stand is not included.
