Up for purchase is an authentic, beautifully framed miniature color woodblock print by the legendary Japanese master printmaker, Jōichi Hoshi (1913–1979). Universally recognized as the "Artist of Trees," Hoshi's works from the early 1970s represent the absolute pinnacle of his career. This piece features a magnificent, textured crimson tree set against Hoshi's signature shimmering gold/metallic leaf undertone background. It is hand-signed "Joichi Hoshi '72" in pencil in the lower right margin, alongside its limited edition pencil numbering on the left.
