Connolly Jr. HS Crusader Yearbook Annual 1985 Tempe, Arizona. This book is signed by many students wishing their teacher who owned it (my mother) a good summer. The book is dedicated to a student who was murdered during the school year, Christy Ann Fornoff (1971-1984). Both the front and back fly pages, as well as many internal pages are well covered with good wishes (see pictures) as well.
The yearbook features a section of administration, staff and faculty pictures, baby photos of popular individuals, predictions, many sections of school candids, dances, royalty, and the clothing styles of 1985, activities, sports, pictures of the individual eighth graders, and seventh graders. The book finishes with autograph pages which are totally filled.
There is a streak across two Eighth Grade pictures (see pictures) that may be food or dirt. It is not major. Several of the autographs allude to the weddings in the summer-- my sisters and I all got married every two weeks throughout the summer, and I\'m sure my mother included it in some aspect of her Home Economics classes. Also, my youngest sister had coached Pom and Cheer at Connolly during the years my mother was in charge of those spirit lines so some of the students may have known her. (Not sure of years.)
This yearbook is in excellent condition externally and is an important chronical of the history of Connolly Middle School in Tempe, Arizona for 1985.
