This sale is for a beautiful and large Bellova hanging pendant shade. Bellova lamps were made by H. G. McFaddin & Co., the maker of Emeralite banker’s lamps.McFaddin imported the glass for their lamps from J. Schreiber & Neffen, a prominent glass manufacturing company in Czechoslovakia.
The BELLOVA / CZECHOSLOVAKIA signature is on the inside wall of the shade, as seen in the last photo.
The shade is in excellent condition overall with no damage. The coloration on the flat top surface is not consistent in color, as seen in the pictures, but as that part of the shade will never be seen when the shade is hung, it shouldn\'t be a problem. The shade is 13” wide. The top opening is 6” and the bottom opening is 10”. The shade depicts beautifully hand painted flowers and leaves all around.
The shade comes with a very nice antique brass shade canopy, although there is no ceiling canopy. The fixture has a small amount of chain on it, so you may want to add a longer chain and rewire it accordingly. Replacement chain and electrical wire are readily available at any big box hardware store. Alternatively, you can always flush mount it to the ceiling after getting an inexpensive ceiling pan fixture.
