An exceptional, deeply moving piece of late 19th-century history. This antique original photographic cabinet card features a portrait of three men wearing period military-style uniform shirts and wide-brimmed campaign hats, reminiscent of the Spanish-American War era (circa 1898).
The front displays a faint pencil inscription near the bottom identifying \"Jim B.\"
The reverse side of the card features a stunningly poignant, handwritten ink message in beautiful period cursive script:
\"Jim Busby - The one that loved me until he died.\"
Condition:
Authentic vintage ephemera with an incredibly rich patina. The photo card shows typical signs of aging, including corner wear, surface silvering/oxidation, and slight handling marks or foxing as pictured. The handwriting remains clear, dark, and highly legible.
This artifact offers a beautiful, hauntingly romantic glimpse into the past. Ideal for collectors of vintage photography, military ephemera, genealogy archives, or historical romance artifacts.
