I will include the box, but it is literally crumbling under the touch. I put it in a sealed bag, and I will attempt to put it in another box inside the box so it doesn’t get crushed. It is definitely cool. It’s definitely been in the garage so I have not really shook the box out that well because of the crumbling so not sure if there was any residual dirt, etc. in the box the ink was in the box when I purchased it.
There is glue in the bottle. It is almost full all the way it looks like maybe there was some use. The cork has since broken off not sure if it can be used or just a cool display piece. I’ve never seen any bottles that had almost the full bottle of glue in them so I believe that makes this pretty rare
Mucilage were desk staples in the 19th and early 20th centuries, with mucilage referring to a plant-based glue.
Used heavily during the Victorian era to seal envelopes, attach stamps, and paste clippings into scrapbooks.
