Antique British Pattern Trooper Sword Saber Regimental Marks + Scabbard TR1825 For Sale

British Pattern Trooper Sword Saber + Scabbard. OAL 39.5", 34.50 Blade. Blade shows much original finish with some scattered pitting on the front half of blade. The blade edge is excellent with no chips or nicks. Grips show loss, age patina, shrinkage, with the basket showing age patina and scattered pitting. Handle is tight with no looseness. Ricasso area shows many dates, cartouches, with War Dept stamps WD Forward arrows, Scabbard and guard show regimental markings.Front of guard also shows WD Forward arrow. Top of spine blade shows a partial cartouche with 2/90, the hilt top spine also shows cartouches. Scabbard shows scattered pitting with some tiny ding/holes (4) by the drag. Regimental markings are on the scabbard back and also on the side throat area too. See photos.
