Antique Billhead Dunham Carrigan & Co. 1877 San Francisco Importers Of Hardware.
Dunham, Corrigan& Co. was established in San Francisco in 1848. They had offices at historic locations like Pine Street and later Beale and Main. They were a major regional distributor and dealer of tools, cutlery, agriculture and industrial hardware, and metals, supplying merchants and operations across California and the American West.
This invoice was to N.S. Trowbridge & Co., a massive general merchant operation based out of the mining boomtown of Tybo, Nevada. Where I can tell it's for augers, auger handles, iron bars, and track nails. At the bottom it notes Trowbridge ordered some car wheels and they would be ready in three days.
In good condition. It has significant creasing and a dog eared corner. A tiny tear along the top edge. The back side has some foxxing a.ong the right side and light tanning across the top. No other signs of wear or aging.
