This historic card captures the magnificent interior architecture of the "Dancing Floor, Saltair Beach Pavilion." The real photographic print showcases the massive scale of the legendary ballroom, highlighting the sweeping, open bow-string truss roof structure that famously kept the vast dance floor completely free of supporting pillars.
First opened out over the Great Salt Lake in 1893, this iconic entertainment destination completely burned to the ground in 1925. Interior views of this vanished architectural masterpiece are quite scarce, making this a highly collectible piece for enthusiasts of early Utah history, architectural engineering, and vintage amusement park Americana.
CONDITION:
The card is in excellent antique condition. The real photo prints remain sharp and clean with beautiful sepia tones and great structural depth. The thick cardstock mount is fully intact and structurally sound with clean borders, exhibiting only minor, expected edge wear and the natural age curvature typical of late 19th-century stereographs. The reverse side features the fully legible, iconic Johnson Co. globe trademark logo.
