This is a scarce 2008 Titusville Cutlery Co. 4-1/4" standard Trapper, model TC0819WGB, from the company's early production period. The knife features genuine bone handles, nickel silver bolsters, brass liners, the distinctive T.C.C. inlaid shield, and two polished blades.
These early Titusville Cutlery knives were produced by Queen. Queen manufactured the original Titusville Cutlery knives as special factory orders, including this 2008 example. The history of the brand also overlaps with several important figures in modern traditional cutlery. Ken and Ryan Daniels had previously commissioned knives from Queen under their Queen Classics line, and Ryan Daniels later joined his father and former Queen master cutler Bill Howard in establishing Great Eastern Cutlery (GEC) in Titusville in 2006. The Daniels family sold its interest in GEC to Howard in 2012 and subsequently acquired Queen Cutlery. Titusville Cutlery was later revived as part of Daniels Family Knife Brands. This 2008 knife predates the Daniels family's ownership of Queen and represents the earlier, Queen-manufactured period of the Titusville Cutlery name.
