As EMD was tearing down most of their facility, tons of stuff was destined for the dumpsters. I managed to save a large box of original General Motors annual reports. I\'ve had them tucked away for around 30 years. See my other listings for other years.
This listing is for the 1948 special annual report that was for GM employees. It featured most of the divisions but being an EMD employee, I was happy to find our division predominately featured in this publication. At the time, EMD was had one of the highest number of employees at right around 13,000.
Of course all the other divisions were featured as well but this truly needs to find a home in an EMD library. Note the Train of Tomorrow on the front cover of the publication.
You will receive both of these books. There is an extra thick version that has a plastic front and rear protective cover. It contains two tabs labeled, \"Annual Report Inserts by Division\" and \"GM Employee Annual Reports (continued). It is held together with a steel spiral binding. I think this book was only issued to select members of GM management.
The second booklet is the more common version that\'s 32 pages long and is a softcover version.
