Handwritten captions date the voyage from April 9 to May 3, 1948, identify the ship and Fort Mason pier, and record the passengers’ journey toward Okinawa. Images include a close view of the transport, the San Francisco waterfront, Golden Gate Bridge, passengers on deck and shipboard group portraits.
Page measures approximately 9 × 12 inches. Photos are secured with period corner mounts and are not glued down. Condition includes album-page edge wear and tears, general photographic wear and heavy pink/red staining to the Golden Gate image. See photos. Thanks!
