Lovely late 18thC Antique Paris Porcelain rococo style sauce tureen with attached undertray - France. The tureen has red letters L (red “L” possibly for Lassia Factory, Rue de Reuilly - active 1774-88) and “A” on the underside.
Please note the tureen is missing a lid.
The tureen features beautiful relief mold (undertray) and lovely and delicate hand painted scattered floral decorations, garlands and beautiful small flowers in style similar to those made by Sevres, Duc d'Angoulême's and others. The type of decoration was very popular during that era.
Condition: The tureen is missing a lid. There are a few small fire cracks due to production processes There is a small chip on the rim (pictured). Also some wear to white glaze, numerous production imperfections, paint lines, firing imperfections. There are no cracks or repairs. There is age related and use related wear to decorations and gilt, use related marks/scratches (please see pictures), wear and scabs on the foot. Blemishes and production related imperfections. All imperfections correspond with its considerable age. Please see pictures for more details.

The bowl is a wonderful example of early French porcelain.
