Beautiful late 18thC Antique Paris Porcelain Sevres style, sauce tureen with attached under tray and a lid - France.
The tureen features beautiful relief mold (under tray) and lovely and delicate hand painted garlands, floral details, and small scattered flowers in style similar to those made by Sevres, Duc d'Angoulême's and others. The type of decoration was very popular during that era.
Unmarked - resembles similar wears of Duc d’Angouleme factory but could be any other similar maker of the era.
Condition: The tureen has a faint hairline and a chip on the opposite side (under rim on the under tray). There are a few small fire cracks due to production processes. Also wear to white glaze, numerous production imperfections, firing imperfections. There is age related and use related wear to decorations and gilt, use related marks/scratches (please see pictures), wear and scabs on the foot. Blemishes and production related imperfections. All imperfections correspond with its considerable age. Please see pictures for more details.
Measures approximately 10.5”L
The tureen is a wonderful example of early French porcelain.
