1887 Dakota Territory J L Richmond District Court Letter Minnewaukan Cover:

- Original December 29, 1887 handwritten letter and matching postal cover from Minnewaukan, Benson County, Dakota Territory, several years before North Dakota became a state. It is addressed to T. L. Quarve, apparently at Viking, Dakota Territory, with additional handwritten forwarding/address notations. The cover retains its original green 2-cent Washington postage stamp and a Minnewaukan, Dakota Territory postmark
- Original antique condition with expected age toning, folds, light soiling and handling wear. Letter remains quite legible with strong handwritten content and printed District Court letterhead. Envelope has substantial edge wear and loss along the right side, along with postal and handling wear. Original green 2-cent Washington stamp remains attached.
