DESCRIPTION & CONDITION:
A determined man wearing regalia associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). He is wearing a distinctive neck sash (or collar) used during the \"golden era\" of fraternal organizations in the mid-to-late 1800s, with a beaded, fringed, and embroidered sash which is highly characteristic of Odd Fellows\' ceremonial wear from the 1860s and 1870s. The key feature is the Three Links of a Chain, a prominent symbol of the IOOF representing Friendship, Love, and Truth.With the penciled name R.H. Munison(?) on the back.Carte de Visite. 2.5”x4”. Some wear, crease, minor soil, edge wear.
