View Larger Image   Disston Rancher Rip Saw 26 inch 5 1/2 TPI   Description: This is a nice clean 1950's 5 1/2 points per inch straight back rip saw marked with the "H. DISSTON U.S.A.quot; logo on the handle medallion, and the etch is marked on the blade "R-1 RANCHER BY DISSTON HENRY DISSTON DIVISION H.K. PORTER COMPANY INC PHILADELPHIA U.S.A.". The handle is a nicely polished hardwood, with past owner's name stamped on the medallion side, a some chip off the upper ear, and one tight hairline crack on the side opposite the medallion from the screw to the edge of the handle only, clean with a nice polished finish, handle fits snug to the blade. The 26" long blade is about 98% straight and clean, sharp and ready to use. The blade is clean on both sides, some staining, the light pitting noted near the handle area mostly, it is quite useable. No rust present now.
