View Larger Image   Cleveland Twist Brace Bit Stock Drill Set Wood Case   Description: This is a very good antique set of bit stock drill in a round wooden screw cap type case. It is rare to find a set like this in such nice condition! The case is marked "BIT STOCK DRILLS CLEVELAND TWIST DRILL COMPANY CLEVELAND MADE IN U.S.A." on the outside label. The inside is also marked with the size of the bit that should go into that hole, and from what I can see most of the bits are also marked with the correct size, and the set is complete and in very good condition overall. This type of drill bit can be used on wood or metal, and come in size from 1/16" to 3/8" diameter. None of the bits have been broken, bent, and are sharp and ready to use, with no rust or damage. The smaller sizes on these old sets are usually missing or short, so this is a rare find in this type of bit set! The case has some exterior wear, but the label is still readable, some finish wear noted, but not cracked or otherwise damaged, and has very good screw threads on both pieces to hold the cap on firmly. I recommend this type of set for the North Brothers No. 75 push brace and other small braces, as the longest drill bit is only 6" long overall. The case is 2.5" diameter, x 7.2" long overall both pieces. A very nice set of bits!
