View Larger Image   General Brass No. 800 Plumb Bob 6 OZ. Case   Description: This a nice older General brass plumb bob with a removeable tempered steel tip, and brass top cap. Both have threaded end to fit the main body of the plumb bob. It is in good shape on all the brass areas, and on the steel point. The brass cap is marked "GENERAL MFG. CO. N.Y. N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 800, and "S 6 OZ" is marked on the side as well. This one measures 4.0" long overall. It comes with an original case for an 8 ounce General plumb bob, but seems to fit into the heavy cardboard with steel ends case just fine, a little shorter than the original 8 ounce was. The case is solid, worn on the labels, but the General name can still be seen. The threads on the case and cap work just fine.
