View Larger Image   Stanley No. 5C Jack Plane Type 11 Ca. 1910's   Description: This is a very nice clean Stanley No. 5 Jack plane from the 1910's era or a type 11. This type has the rosewood handles that are in solid condition, with a few dings and small chips at the top of the tote, and very minor wear on the knob, some finish wear on both, but overall in really good, solid shape. This plane is in good usable condition overall with about 90% of the original black Japanning intact. The bare metal surfaces are clean, the bottom is corrigated (has grooves cut in it at the factory to make is glide easyer across the wood) and is flat. There is some very minor scratches and tiny dings noted, but less than average by far, measures 14" long, with a 2.0" wide cutter, with minimal wear, no cracks or damage, appears to be all original with any exceptions listed. The blade is marked "STANLEY NEW BRITIAN CONN. U.S.A.", with a V-shaped logo the body is marked "BAILEY NO. 5 PAT'D MAR-25-02 AUG-19-02 APR.18.10". The cutter is about 95% intact, sharp and ready to use.
