View Larger Image   Garant Tanged Gouge Chisel 3/8 inch Crown Logo   Description: This is a nice, clean antique 3/8" wide tanged gouge chisel with a medium sweep arc. It is marked with a crown logo, and "J.N.U. GARANT" under the crown. The steel is in very good condition, no rust, no pitted, sharp cutting edge, ready to use. The handle is solid, fits good, and has a good brass ferrule with a few dents in it, but holding strong. The hardwood on the handle is in great shape, nicely turned, not cracked, a few past owner's intials noted in the wood. The chisel is 9.5" long overall.
