View Larger Image   Stanley No. 12W Whimble Brace Fray Patent   Description: This is a top quality 12 inch sweep (designed for extra leverage)(Fray's Patent Whimble style) brace marked "STANLEY SW NEW BRITAIN CONN. U.S.A. FRAY NO. 12W". All these markes are on the long handle. Both handle and crank are cocobolo in good condition, the end crank handle has a hole in it with a pin inside (pinned originally at the factory). The brace metal is clean, polished, with some darkening, minor staining and pitting on the long handle end. The chuck jaws, thumb screw and threads are in very good condition, some minor modifaction appears to have been done to the thumb screw, but it is solid.
