Vintage circa-1937 promotional travel booklet titled “Los Angeles County California,” issued by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and circulated through the Los Angeles County Chamber of Commerce.This approximately 64-page booklet presents Los Angeles County as “The World’s Most Interesting Spot” and documents the area’s transformation “From a Wilderness to a World Empire.” It includes period black-and-white photographs, local history, communities, recreation, agriculture, industry, transportation and a pictorial county map.The colorful illustrated covers feature two classic Southern California scenes: beaches, boats and palm trees on one side, with mountains, orchards and a family scene on the other.Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with edge and corner wear, cover rubbing, mild age toning and wear near the bottom of the spine. The upper-right corner of the orchard cover has noticeable wear and creasing. Interior pages appear clean and readable.
