Nant-y-Glyn is a quiet valley running inland from Colwyn Bay on the North Wales coast, in what is now Conwy County Borough. The valley sits just behind the Victorian seaside resort town, a sharp contrast between the busy promenade and the immediately rural hinterland that characterized so many Welsh coastal settlements.
