1900s Art Deco English Westminster Chime Mantel Clock 8 Day Mechanical Key Wind Working.
Vintage English mechanical Westminster chime mantel clock dating to early 1900s 1912 or 1942, complete with winding key and original retailer/instruction label.
A wonderful mid-century mechanical clock featuring a dark wood arched / Napoleon-style mantel case, brass-tone dial, black Arabic numerals, decorative hands and traditional mechanical chiming movement.

The handwritten Date of Purchase appears to read 19/6/12?providing excellent provenance.
The clock has been tested and is FULLY WORKING. It winds, runs and the mechanical chime operates. Please see the included video demonstrating operation.

The rear instructions state to wind three squares on the dial fully and reference the pendulum and gongs, further documenting its original mechanical operation.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with expected wear from approximately 100 years of age and use. The wooden case shows light scratches, finish wear and age-related marks. Dial shows patina, discoloration and surface wear consistent with age. Chrome/brass-tone bezel shows normal wear. Please inspect all photographs closely for exact cosmetic condition.
Clock is currently running and chiming properly. As with any vintage mechanical clock, accuracy and continued operation after transportation cannot be guaranteed and periodic adjustment or servicing may eventually be required.
