Zsolnay Pécs Porcelain Hand Painted Trinket Box Schlittné Hungary For Sale

This is a Zsolnay porcelain large square bonboniere (trinket box) made in Hungary and handpainted by Mrs. Schlitt (Schlittne). Mrs. Schlitt was a prominent highly skilled master factory workshop painter for the Zsolnay manufactory in Pecs, Hungary. The Zsolnary manufactory was established in 1853 and continues to produce fine porcelain to this day.The box has a square shape with soft fluted corners and a multi-colored floral motif. I believe the pattern is titled \"Persian\" or \"perzsa mintas\" and was made in the mid-20th century. The base color is a cream color and enriched with 18k gold trim. The bottom has the iconic blue \"Five Towers\" (Pecs Cathedral) logo for Zsolnay Pecs and says MADE IN HUNGARY with the number 10 in blue glaze and a hand signed Schlittne in gold.The piece is in great condition. There are no chips or cracks and no wear of the gold trim. This is from a smoke free home.
