Croatia historical postcard and paper-ephemera collection: 24 loose postcards, one 1934 Savez hrvatskih obrtnika congress/delegate pass, and one blue-covered ZAGREB souvenir postcard booklet. Sold together as one mixed lot.
Mostly Zagreb views: Jelacic Square and its market/trams, cathedral, streets, railway station, Domobranska barracks, Hrvatski seljacki dom and the modern curved building bearing Siemens and 20th Century Fox Film signage. Additional cards include Split with a seaplane, Dubrovnik, Selce, Osijek and a Dalmatian folk-costume illustration. Black-and-white, sepia and colour/colour-tinted views are represented.
The illustrated craftsmen-union pass has a printed reverse headed LEGITIMACIJA/POTVRDA for the Karlovac assembly on 20-21 May 1934, with writing, stamps and two punched holes. It is a historical document, not a postcard. The booklet includes Zagreb scenes and a youth-railway illustration; total internal card count and completeness are not verified.
The lot spans different early-to-mid-20th-century dates. Many cards were mailed and retain handwritten messages, stamps and cancellations; some are unposted. Exact printing dates and printing processes vary and are not confirmed for every piece.
Condition: Mixed used condition: writing, stamps and postmarks on many cards; age toning, foxing/stains, creases, scuffs and worn corners/edges. Some small tears/losses and ink on fronts.
