Yokohama Japan Lighthouse Harbour Wooden Boats Sails Glass 26804 Stereoview For Sale

This is a glass stereoview that is approximately 7 x 3¾ inches (180x95mm).

It shows a brick lighthouse tower on the harbour front at Yokohama, Japan, with wooden boats moored in the foreground. The square tower has a glazed lantern room with a domed top and a crane-like arm projecting from one side, and a pitched-roof building and a tall fence stand at its base. Several heavy wooden boats with large rudders are moored side by side, with matting laid over their decks. Two boats under single sails and many other vessels are visible further out across the water. A printed caption strip on the front reads \'26804 Yokohama. Un phare au bord de la mer. Japon\', which translates as \'Yokohama. A lighthouse by the sea. Japan\'.
