Wood Dovetail Hinged Box w/Hook & Loop Clasp, DIY Project Keepsake Trinket Box For Sale

This listing is for a plain wooden box with a dark walnut finish. It has metal hinges & a hook & loop clasp--both with a brass finish. It also has dovetailed corners! I LOVE dovetailed corners! It is unfinished inside except for the lid which has a piece of black craft foam affixed to the lid underside. I have had this box in my stash for years and honestly do not remember where I acquired it. I believe it is probably from the late 1990\'s or early 2000\'s. There are no scratches, no dings & no gouges on the surfaces of the box. There are a couple of areas where it looks like the stain did not get properly adhered but that is an easy fix. Please refer to the pictures for the best description of its condition.
This box is perfect for a DIY!!! Certainly that was my intent when I purchased it, but at this point, I need to clear out some of my hoard lol, so I am letting this little gem go. I do not know what type of wood it is made of but it has a very pretty grain. It is lightweight. It is perfect for someone to hand paint designs on it, use rub-on IOD or Redesign by Prima designs or just start using it. I have done nothing to the surfaces of the box, although I do not know, besides the obvious fact that it has been wood stained, what other products were used on it. Probably just a good sanding would prep it for your project.

This is such a great \"blank canvas\" wooden box! It is just begging to be turned into something special! It is a good size for jewelry, trinkets, keepsakes or even recipes. It can definitely be put into use just as it is. It has great \"bones\" for a project piece if you are looking for something to do. Lol It comes from a smoke-free environment. Thank you for looking!
