Wonderful Solid Bronze Pug Dog; 1860’s- Early 20th Century—lovely Patina For Sale

He weighs 8 pounds, and is made of beautifully crafted solid brass, which has had more than a century to developed the ideal chocolate and greenish patina. Although in the style of Maitland, this dog is a bit smaller and more ornate on his face. There is no makers mark, but that is common with these pieces, which were often made by small private foundries. The lack of identification does not alter it's value or fabulousness.This is a hot cast pour which is an intricate complex process, done a piece at a time.Puppy needs a new place! Make him yours.
