CONDITION: Used. Excellent, grade A condition. Little or no wear on the blade and other tools. Excellent mobility and snap. The blade lock and release work well. Only slight wear on the textured black scales and Buck insignias.
MODEL DESCRIPTION: Wenger produced SwissBuck pocket knives from 1992 to 1998, in collaboration with Buck knives. Their blades and tools were similar to standard Wenger Swiss Army knives, but they come in a special, grooved black shell with the Buck logo on it.The SwissBuck series is very popular with collectors: partly because of its short run and association with two famous knife manufacturers, and also because there were only 16 models in the SwissBuck collaboration (so there is hope of actually collecting them all!)The Wenger SwissBuck SwissMate II has the same tools as the retired Everest model, but it comes in a black grooved shell with the Buck logo, and with a different blade shape. There were three other versions of the SwissMate: two single-blade SwissMate I models with corkscrew or Phillips, and a SwissMate III without the pliers. Oddly, the biggest one was in the middle.The Wenger SwissBuck SwissMate II knife is 125mm (5") long, 30mm (1.2") wide, and 23mm (7/8") thick.
