WALTER CHRYSLER worked for the Buick Motor Company from 1911 to 1919. He was hired as a works manager in 1911 and later promoted to president of the Buick division in 1916. He left in 1919 following disagreements with General Motors leadership. Chrysler is credited with drastically reducing production costs and doubling input. He founded the Chrysler Corporation in 1925.
