This is a super nice helmet with the very attractive camouflage pattern consisting of the General staff\'s strict policy of colors to be utilized: GREEN / BROWN / OCHRE with black border pattern. The paint is in incredible condition with minor to normal bottom edge wear and patina, some paint wear, some black anti-rust lacquer showing in small amounts where paint has worn away and patina where the paint has chipped or worn to the metal surface. The paint shows brush strokes. The paint still has it’s deep colors and it is not faded. On the surface there is some dried mud. There are some minor surface dings / depressions in front of the left vent hole. The underside of the helmet has very good paint with some loss and patina. The liner is a war time replacement consisting of either a French or Belgian liner from another helmet. The liner is snug. It is dark, soft and flexible and seems pretty strong. The surface shows cracking and wrinkling throughout with an area of separation from the liner band of about 3-4 inches on the right side towards the middle and front. There is a draw string attached. The SI 62 stamp is very readable. Overall this is a fantastic helmet.
